Comments about Lifetime Lifetime Compost Tumbler:
This has been a great composter. We used it over the entire summer with wonderful results. We add the composted material into our vegetable garden. One poster mentioned maggots in the composter and asked how to deal with this problem. We had the same concerns so I researched the issue. What I discovered is that our maggots are soldier fly maggots and play a role in breaking down and recycling nutrients back into the soil. Soldier fly larvae are consumers of nitrogen-dominant decaying materials, such as kitchen food scraps and manures. There is a lot of information on the internet regarding solider fly larvae. Below is a link from Oregon State University discussing the benefits of the larvae. [@]

We have had the tumbler for about 1 1/2 mos. - happy -- except for the heavy moisture problem [we will try the suggested paper towels] which has caused magots lots of them. We don't know what to do do we destroy and start over? HELP!!

Comments about Lifetime Lifetime Compost Tumbler:
It took 2 hours or about that to put together. I was happy all parts where in the box and we smoothly put the composter together. Reading a head one step does help to understand the current step. I have started using it and it turns real smooth. Make sure you cut stems down to 1-2 inches for i feel it helps rotating aroudn the center bar for air distribution. I have put a good mix it and plan to turn and check once a week! I find it worth it's cost and craftsmanship looks awesome! Looking forward to 1st production in late winter! 4-5 months expection. :-)
Comments about Lifetime Lifetime Compost Tumbler:
I have been using Lifetime products for many years. When I got this unit home and unpacked it I found that there were no instructions in English! I had to print them off of www.buylifetime.com. Next, I found one of the bushings for the main shaft was missing from the parts bags. I had to get the bushing at the hardware store. Finally, the downloaded English instructions I got from www.buylifetime.com were incomplete and I had to finish up by using a set of the foreign language instructions that came with the composter, and I only speak English. Now that I put it together, I think that it looks like a very nice piece of equipment.

Comments about Lifetime Lifetime Compost Tumbler:
Just started using my composter, [...], the people at Lifetime Products were great, [...]. In assembly there is one tough screw to install on each side, but got it done by myself, they replaced the plastic vent tube, that had been posted as a problem, in earlier reviews, with a metal one, due to the capacity of this unit it may be a problem to turn when it gets full, but their is no crank or handle that will break like the competitions tumblers that are on the market. I am happy with my purchase, and I will probably order more units
